形態特徵

• Perennial or annual herbs; stems juicy, erect or ascending.
• Leaves subequally or unequally paired, membranaceous, ovate to rhombic-ovate, 1.5-9 cm long, 1-5 cm wide, apex acute to caudate, with an entire, ciliolate acumine, margins coarsely to sharply serrate, base cuneate, 3-nerved, with conical trichomes above and along nerves beneath; petioles to 6 cm long, with sparse conical trichomes; stipules 2, connate into a ring, oblong, veinless.
• Inflorescences with flowers of both sexes, axillary, sessile or subsessile, scorpioid-paniculate, 1.6-3.4 cm long; bracts free, minute. Male flowers obovoid, glabrous outside; sepals 2-4, connate halfway to apex, obovate-cymbiform, corniculate below apex; pedicels to 0.6 mm long; stamens 2-4; pistils rudimentary. Sepals of female flowers 3 or 4, sepals free, subequal, narrowly oblong-cymbiform, truncate at apex; staminodes 3 or 4; ovary glabrous, ovoid.
• Achenes laterally compressed, ovoid.

物候

Flowering and fruiting July to November.

分布

• 台灣 : at medium to high altitudes, to 2,900 m in the central mountains, moist forest margins in ravines or near streams.
• 世界 : Temperate regions of North America, Russia, mainland China, Korea and Japan.
